Collage & Connection - Sunday May 3 11:00 am
Local artist Pam Huffman of Idylwood Studios will facilitate a collage-making experience at our theatre space. We’ll provide everything you need to craft your very own paper collage, and you’re also welcome to bring your own magazines (or copies of items like photos and letters!) for inspiration.

This is a low-stakes afternoon of art-making for any adult, no matter your level of artistic experience. And as Prologue’s mission is to create conversations, we invite you to connect to your own ideas, your creativity, and a handful of other fellow creators at this hands-on event!

Pamela Huffman is an abstract mixed media artist, curator and community organizer in the arts. In 2025, Rare Bird in Falls Church hosted Pam‘s three month solo show “In the Absence of Nurture… Nature.” Over the past several years, Pam has organized and juried shows in Virginia, including most recently at the Fredericksburg Center for the Creative Arts and at Falls Church Arts. In 2024, Pam was awarded a grant to be the Curator and Community Outreach Artist for Idylwood Studios in Falls Church. In these roles, Pam curates shows for local artists in the Studio space and organizes community building programming. Pam is a docent with the Smithsonian American Art Museum and its Renwick Gallery where she studies American art and leads tours where visitors look at, think about and discuss art and craft from the collection. She believes all of us are artists and that we are all capable of creating meaningful work.
Post-Show Conversations - Sundays - April 26, May 3 and May 10
Join us after the 4pm Sunday matinee on April 26, May 3, or May 10 for a conversation with Prologue's Artistic Director, Jason Tamborini.
Our conversations are not your traditional talk back. They are focused on facilitating conversation among the attendees, not just answering questions about the production. We know that after seeing this show you will have a lot to talk about!
Micro-Memoir: A Workshop for Writers and Non-writers - Wednesday, May 6, 7:00 pm
Prologue Theatre's new Engagement Curator, published poet and playwright Tia Shearer Bassett, offers an evening inspired by our production of A Mirror by Sam Holcroft!
Open to adults with any writing background or none at all, this creative workshop invites participants to be curious about their own experiences, as well as the form (and size!) a "real" story might take. There will be imaginative exercises, thought-provoking readings, and opportunities to surprise and delight ourselves. Sharing will be voluntary; the only request is that everyone arrive ready to celebrate each other's bravery.
Participants may join Tia in-person at Prologue Theatre, or via Zoom. The workshop runs from 7pm to 8:30pm on Wednesday, May 6th. Bring your favorite writing materials -- writing by hand is strongly encouraged!
