conversations
Starting conversations is core to our mission at Prologue Theatre, so we've designed a series of conversations to pair with each of our monthly new play workshops.
- New Play Development Conversation Series: During the first week of each workshop, Artistic Director Jason Tamborini will discuss the process of new play development with other members of the DC area theatre community. This conversation will take place via Facebook Live.
- Prologue's Artistic Director, Jason Tamborini, conducts interviews with each playwright participating in the FOREWORD series.
- Reading & Post-Show Conversation with the Playwright: After each public reading, we will host a post-show conversation with the playwright.
- Deep Dive Conversation: Finally, in the week following the public reading, we'll bring audiences back together virtually for an in-depth conversation into the key issues each play explores. We want to hear what the play made you think about or maybe even see in a different light.
If you would like to join us for the Post-Show Conversation and/or the Deep Dive Conversation please register for the reading itself. We offer both a single reading and a series sign-up.

“Here at Prologue Theatre, conversation really matters. We also recognize that not everyone maybe be able to join us for our weekly in person conversations, or perhaps they’re not ready to participate at that time. So, in an effort to get as many people as possible involved in our conversations, we have decided to try an online forum as an additional place to converse.
We have threads for each of the weekly topics, as well as a general thread for anything that might not seem to fit in the other conversations.
We ask that all posts be respectful and add to the conversation, not detract from it. Having an adverse opinion is not a problem, in fact it’s great. Our goal is productive discussion.”

END OF 2019
As we look to the end of the year and reflect on 2019, we want to be transparent with you, our community, about the conversations we’re having internally -- not just about what you see on stage but what goes on behind-the-scenes as well.

- How do we compensate theatre artists fairly?
- How do we cover the hidden costs of the theatre productions you see on stage?
- How do we ensure important and substantive dialogue with all of our audience members?
