Synopsis:
Paris. 1793. Playwright Olympe de Gouges, assassin Charlotte Corday, former queen Marie Antoinette, and Haitian rebel Marianne Angelle, experience the French Revolution’s Reign of Terror. The women move ever closer to their own undeniable fates, while still trying to change their world, as they extol (and sometimes castigate) violence and legacy, art and activism, feminism and terrorism, compatriots and chosen sisters.

about the playwright

Lauren Gunderson has been one of the most produced playwrights in America since 2015 topping the list twice including 2019/20. She is a two-time winner of the Steinberg/ATCA New Play Award for I and You and The Book of Will, the winner of the Lanford Wilson Award and the Otis Guernsey New Voices Award, a finalist for the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize and John Gassner Award for Playwriting, and a recipient of the Mellon Foundation’s Residency with Marin Theatre Company. She studied Southern Literature and Drama at Emory University, and Dramatic Writing at NYU’s Tisch School where she was a Reynolds Fellow in Social Entrepreneurship. She co-authored the Miss Bennet plays with Margot Melcon, and her play The Half-Life of Marie Curie is available on Audible.com. Her work is published at Playscripts (I and You; Exit Pursued By A Bear; The Taming and Toil And Trouble), Dramatists Play Service (The Revolutionists; The Book of Will; Silent Sky; Bauer, Natural Shocks, The Wickhams and Miss Bennet) and Samuel French (Emilie). Ticket Pricing Details:

Pay What You Can Tickets
Tickets for the first three performances of The Revolutionists (April 28 & 29 at 7:30pm and April 30 at 2:30pm) are Pay What You Can.  You have the option to either purchase these tickets in advance, online or purchase them in person at the Atlas Box Office.  Pay What You Can tickets sold online are available in increments of five dollars from $5 to $30 and any applicable Atlas online transaction charges still apply.  If you purchase Pay What You Can tickets in person at the Atlas Box Office you can name your own ticket price in any amount ($2, $18, $50 - literally anything you want to pay for your ticket!).  This type of ticket pricing is designed to allow the utmost in pricing flexibility for our audience members.

General Admission - $35 
applicable for all performances beginning with the opening night performance on Saturday, April 30 at 7:30pm through closing on Sunday, May 22 at 2:30pm

Discounted Admission - $25
available to Students, Seniors, Teachers and members of the Military and their families for all performances from opening through closing

Industry Tickets - $15
available for all performances, beginning with opening night, to all members of the theatre community including all artists, stage managers, directors, designers, and administrators; use discount code INDUSTRY15 to purchase in advance online or request an industry ticket at the Atlas Box Office

Rush Tickets - $20
for each performance, after opening night, ten (10) Rush Tickets are available for purchase on the day of the performance at the Atlas Box Office.  Rush tickets can only be purchased in person; they are not available for sale online
